Compact Engineering CD Moisture Profile Control
Loss of production and the more common quality issued are frequently caused by a poor moisture profile.
The solution to these problems are the application of Compact energy efficient infrared dryers engineered specifically to provide moisture profile control with high resolution and deep penetrating power, to control not only the CD profile but also the ‘Z’ direction.
For moisture profile control we offer the Corona dryer, the only curved dryer in the world engineered specifically for use against drying cylinders, the Titan dryer for straight runs and open draws and the Apollo for the smaller machine and for laminating applications.
Edge Dryers and Edge Drying
A common problem on many paper and board machines is lack of drying capacity on the sheet edges. This may be just due to poor dryingor more commonly, the sheet being run to the edge of the cylinders to maximise production. Whatever the cause, Compact Engineering has a solution available from their range of dryers that are capable of eliminating even the wettest of wet edges. The units are compact, yet powerful and are engineered to fit into the machine without interfering with normal machine operation.
Coating Drying

For coating drying we offer the Apollo coating dryer for the small machine and the Titan coating dryer for the higher speed machines.
Preheating
For quality improvements, increased production and the more efficient use of the drying section, preheat should be a serious consideration.
When preheating the sheet after the presses, we offer the Apollo heater for the smaller machine and Titan or Corona for the larger machine, depending upon the sheet run and space available.
