Compact Infrared – Advanced Design. Engineered to provide high efficiency, ease of installation, minimum space requirements and a rapid payback from increased production.
CD MOISTURE PROFILE correction is a commonly used method to increase production, where the CD profiler acts as a catalyst for the efficiency of the drying section where the machine productivity is then governed by the most effective parts of the dryer section.
Using the infrared to flatten a typical 3.5% moisture spread will result in a speed increase of around 10% for a power consumption of less than 50kW/h per tonne.
Additional production increases are gained from:
- Better product uniformity
- Improvement in reel building
- Better converting rates from parent reels.
- In some applications, production increases due to better product quality have amounted to over 4%.

COATING DRYING with Compact’s range of high-intensity infrared dryers using active boundary layer management, provides an essential tool for getting the drying specification right every time and getting the coating dried in an instant.
Compact’s dryers provide complete control over binder migration and so all coatings dried using Compact’s advanced infrared dryers show uniform bonding, both to the sheet and within the coating. As the dryers are fully controllable and reach full operating capacity within seconds, very little product is wasted at start-up.
CAPITAL INVESTMENT in Compact equipment not only increases production speeds but significantly improves the final product quality, which in turn reduces broke and other waste, eliminates customer returns and delivers a finished product that more than meets the customer’s expectation.
Compact Engineering’s infrared heaters and dryers are also used to deliver additional drying capacity from the drying section, without increasing energy costs per tonne produced.
